History

According to the " dictionnaire historique des rues de Paris " (historical dictionary of the streets of Paris ), published by "Éditions de Minuit", the order of the Hospitaliers de St Jean, founded in Jerusalem in 1050, established its commandery here in approximately 1158. It occupied a large enclosure extending from rue Saint Jacques to rue Jean de Beauvais, and from rue du Sommerard south to rue des Ecoles. Transformed into the Commandery of St. Jean de Latran of the Order of Malta in 1530, Admiral Pierre André de Suffren, vice-admiral of France , Grand Cross of the Sovereign Order of Malta, was buried here on 5 December 1788.

This commandery was destroyed in 1792 during the French Revolution.

While the rue Thénard façade dates from the 16 th century, the corner of rue Latran was created in the middle of the 18 th century by Baron Haussmann.

Our building has retained characteristics of the Baron himself: balconies on the second storey and higher!

Known since the 1900s as the At Home Hotel, this establishment was completely renovated and improved in 1981 by its new owners, the Georges and Marc families, who maintain a very homelike atmosphere.

Since 1999, Mr. Marc and his wife have endeavoured to modernize this small home for your comfort, to guarantee you a most enjoyable stay in Paris .

We'll make sure that you always receive the highest degree of attention and the very best service.

We'll see you soon. It will be our pleasure to welcome you
